Leadership Really Matters

Think About This

Walt Disney was truly the dreamer of all dreamers, but he was no different than you or me. All of us are dreamers.

Many of us are really big dreamers. Walt Disney believed enough in his dreams to make sure they became a reality. He went out and pursued them. Can you imagine a world without Disneyland? Me neither.

Think about a boat sitting in the harbour. Although it’s a safe place to be anchored, is that what it was built to do? Just sit there in the harbor? Of course not. It was built to get out there and sail the world, carry its cargo from one place to another to fulfill its purpose. Just like you.

So many people sit and dream, but that’s as far as they go. They play it safe; frightened of what might be out there if they really achieved their dreams.

But there is a price that is paid when we don’t achieve our dreams. We cheat the world out of what could have been. We cheat ourselves out who we could have been. And, very importantly, we cheat others whose lives we could have changed.

We definitely make a difference when we pursue our dreams. We change people’s lives as well as our own. We affect the world in a positive way by putting out the energy of doing, of dreaming! We inspire others to do the same.

How exciting to think of an empty harbor and a packed ocean.

Be more than a dreamer; be courageous and go now and turn your dreams into reality!

What Does Your Future Hold For You?

To tell the truth, I’m concerned, seriously concerned, about the future of many people I know, and those whom I’ve yet to meet.

Big businesses devour small businesses. High-paying jobs are being exported overseas. Technology virtually changes overnight. Complete industries are fading into history.

I truly hope the one you’re in, isn’t.

For example, not so long ago IBM was a stand-out unchallenged corporation. Forward-thinking, with thousands of employees.

Now one man, Michael Bell, sells more personal computers than IBM.

Health services in all western countries are under enormous pressure as the Baby Boomers are placing more demands on them, as well as depleting pension benefits.

Self-interest groups are lobbying Governments for fundings, causing reduction and neglect of investment in vital infrastructures.

And there’s no guarantees that any country is immune to the international financial disasters that are occurring, and likely to worsen!

Are you forward-thinking and taking steps to set yourself up so that your future, and the future of your family, will be guaranteed security in times to come?

How predictable is YOUR future?

Let me ask you this: What if you suddenly found yourself with no business/job, no income, a stack of bills, a family you couldn’t feed, pressure mounting and hope fading?

How would you stand up to that?

Don’t say it can’t happen. It has, to countless other people in the last 20 years.

Your Best and Cheapest Solution

In my opinion, our best, least expensive and cheapest solution is for us to study people. Study people, their likes and dislikes, their needs and wants, and from what we learn, build a spiderweb network of contacts now.

Obviously there’s no guarantee against a future catastrophe. But our best protection is to have that spiderweb network of people whom we’ve helped and who feel a loyalty towards us.

Developing your own spiderweb network of contacts, who like and trust you, will guarantee you a future full of everything you’ve ever wanted in your life. I can say this because I’ve seen this happen to countless numbers of people, here and overseas.

So, put your networking skills to work, and own your life.
