So I thought other readers may be interested in hearing about my responses to those questions.

So many people these days who are already retired, or planning on doing so in the near-future, have concerns about how they can best set-up their own home based business in order to make money so that they can have a really secure and dignified lifestyle.

And let’s face it, you shouldn’t have to wait until age 65 before you retire, should you? After all, it isn’t age that should determine when you retire.

No, it’s money that determines when you retire.

So why wait until you reach the so-called “retiremnent age” ? Why not retire as young as you would like to, and then have a lifestyle where you enjoy complete financial and time-freedom!

“The Internet Marketing world was very interested to learn that John G Wass has recently joined an online Company that’s setting records. This story is titled  Be…..Do…..Have. The three main points are that you need to feel and think success, then you will start to do the things you want to do, and then you can have all the things you want.

In our society, we’ve always been led to believe that before we can ever have what we want out of life, we must first work out a way that we can have it, and then do whatever it takes to have those things, and then make money with a home based business.

Then we are to go and do what has to be done. The next training we receive tells us that having done what was necessary we will have what we want. And lastly, having done what we’ve needed to do which results in us having what we want, we are now successful.

This formula is completely wrong, and does not work in the majority of cases. You have to “be successful” in your mind, before you can ever hope to be successful and earn money with a home based business.

So now I want to suggest how you can truly be successful. What I want you to do regarding creating a dignified and financially-secure retirement income is to write down a list of what you would do in retirement. Imagine you are retired and you have a monthly passive income of, say $20,000 per month,

As I’ve no idea whay you personally would want to do in this case, I’m going to give you a scenario which you could perhapschoose when you can make money with a home based business. Let’s imagine you are now very successful in your Network Marketing business, you are earning a residual income of $20,000 per month.

You and your spouse/partner are living in the home you’ve always dreamed of. It’s a magnificient two-story mansion with four king-sized bedrooms, each with their own luxury bathroom. There’s a movie room with a screen covering one wall, with leather recliner-chairs and a mini servery. The rest of your home is beautifully and tastefully decorated, with very impressive areas and inviting areas to entertain your many family members and guests when you earn money with a home based business.

From the front of your home you have extensive, uninterrupted views of a beautiful deep-blue ocean. You spend  your many hours relaxing and delighting in the views afforded to you. The grounds surrounding your house are carefully manicured and have many trees of differing varieties.

There are two cars you’ve always wanted parked in your garage, one for normal day to day use, and the other which is a sporty-type that’s very special to you, which you frequently drive on narrow roads in the hills nearby now that you earn money with a home based business .

You and your loved one rarely spend more than three months at home, as you’re either holidaying in other parts of your country or overseas, and two or three time a year you attend your Network Marketing Company’s Leadership Conventions. At this stage you have been recognised as a great leader, with a large team of colleagues who have become among your closest friends and look upon you as their mentor, as well as their coach.

You’re perhaps donating part of your income to some causes that you feel need your financial contributions as well as your time. You’ve had a strong desire to do this for most of your life and it feels so wonderful now being able to share your wealth helping those who are truly in need when you earn money for a great retirement with a home based business.

Now, even though you may feel you’re a long way from the type of lifestyle above, by thinking of having already achieved a similar lifestyle before it actually happens, you can now move more confidently towards making it happen and earn retirement money with a home based business of your own.

When Can You Retire?

You Baby Boomer’s have a few endearing traits that make you an important target market :-

You want to live longer, more productive lives

They’re suddenly realising they haven’t saved enough along the way, and have eaten into the equity of the family home and other assets, especially since share-markets and real-estate have lost so much value!

Previous generations protected their accrued assets so they could pass them on to the next generation, and still have serious retirement money. Nowadays that isn’t so easy to do!

So then, what are the Baby Boomers’ alternatives with regard to funding your retirement?

1. Save – retirement/mutual funds?
2. Purchase appreciating assets – property & shares?
3. Win Lottery?
4. Inheritance?

How much income do you need for a comfortable retirement? Let’s say it’s at least $40,000 pa.

For an income of $40,000 pa you’d need around $800,000 of freehold property investments returning 5%. Very few retirees have that.

Have a look at these frightening stats:

In 2004 a survey in a Western country found the average couple retiring at age 65 had $122,000 in savings, $86,000 in debts – credit cards, vehicle & mortgage loans, leaving $ 36,000 left for retirement. Scary…!!

It hasn’t worked in the past….. but what if at 40 you had started preparing?

To accumulate $800,000 in an investment by age 65 would require at least $25,000 invested each year. Would you have the ability to save/invest at that rate?

Well, you don’t need $800,000 principal ~ an MLM business producing $3,400 pm does the job!

Do you know any Baby Boomers who have a few aches and pains? Do you suffer them yourself?
